Signing up as a member of the Water Users' Group gives you a voice in how water is dealt with in New Zealand.

As a member, you will be part of working:

• To foster and promote the interests of Water Users in New Zealand;
• To secure for Group members the advantage of lawful collective action in relation to Water Use;
• To promote, support, or oppose legislation or other measures affecting or likely to affect members as Water Users;
• To consider matters affecting or likely to affect the interests of Members as Water Users and to investigate, report on and disseminate information thereon to Members;
• To represent Members of the Group in negotiation or consultation or discussion with the Government, other industry organisations, local or regional authorities or any other bodies with powers or functions likely to affect or to influence Water Users in that capacity;
• To initiate or to defend or otherwise participate or be represented in litigation likely to affect the interests of Members, including by assisting a Member or Members in such litigation;
